ABSTRACT:
Manchester College had phone and voicemail systems that had outlived their life expectancy. In fact, at 17 years of age, both systems had begun to experience serious issues, including intermittent failures. These issues not only inconvenienced students and staff but also interrupted college business. To bring their communications system into the 21st century, CDW implemented a VOIP infrastructure with phones which included Cisco Unity Unified Messaging, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Emergency Responder, and Berbee InformaCast. This communications system modification not only gave the college an advanced and fully functioning voicemail system, it also saved them approximately $150,000 in rewiring costs.
