ABSTRACT:
It's been a while since I went through the US Air Force's basic training program but every time I visit San Antonio I can't help but sit up a little straighter and remember the drill sergeants ingraining within me the "military way" of folding my t-shirts, making my bed, cleaning my rifle, and singing the Air Force Song...

The foundation of things I learned back in basic training are a large part of what's made me successful as a professional today.

On this webcast I'm going to put on my drill sergeant's hat and we're going to learn the basics that every network engineer, server chick, network manager, or IT dude should know about managing networks. This is going to be a no-frills webcast where we focus on the fundamentals and making sure that we all understand them.

Some of the things that we'll cover are:

  • Assessing your current capabilities
  • Prioritizing your needs
  • Baselines
  • Fundamental technologies
No matter where you are in your career, you don't want to miss this session.
